The Way of Interreligious Dialogue: The Hong Kong Experience

Rarely do the religious representatives at a meeting take a vote; they prefer to reach a consensus of mind. When they have the occasion to make a public statement, it is a consensus of opinions. Now, this being the case, two questions arise: Is reaching a consensus the goal of interreligious dialogue? Does a consensus foreclose the dialogical process prematurely?
