‘Know thyself’. That this is the true work of wisdom and this the divine wisdom, is well said by the ancients, and that the virtue of God and of man is veritably the same, when the soul studies to see herself as in a mirror, and also mirrors the divine mind in herself (if she becomes worthy of such fellowship), and traces out an unutterable path of this apotheosis.
