To take the epistemologies of Tijani Sufism and Ifa seriously on their own terms means to be open to possibilities that may seem foreign, strange, or uncomfortable, such as the possibility of a “deep knowledge” that is a discovery or remembrance of one’s true self, at once one’s origin and destiny.
